Our commitment

Accessibility is part of how we build, not an afterthought. We want our content and tools to be usable by people with a wide range of abilities, including those who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or voice control. Making the web accessible is also better for everyone, a principle set out by the W3C's Web Accessibility Initiative.^[1]

The standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard widely referenced by law and best practice.^[2] In practice that means clear structure and headings, sufficient colour contrast, descriptive link and image text, visible focus states, large enough tap targets, and a site that works without a mouse.

What we do to get there

• Use semantic HTML and proper heading order so assistive technology can navigate the page.
• Provide descriptive text for meaningful images and clear labels on forms.
• Check colour contrast against WCAG thresholds.
• Support full keyboard navigation with visible focus.
• Test templates with accessibility tools and manual checks.

Known limitations & ongoing work

Accessibility is a continuous effort, not a one-time task. Some older content or third-party embeds may not yet fully meet our target. We review the site regularly and prioritize fixes, and we would rather know about a problem than leave it unfixed. If you rely on assistive technology and hit a barrier, please tell us.
