Technical SEO services that unblock the site.

Technical SEO is not content and it is not links. It is whether a search engine can reach, render, understand and index your pages at all. When that is broken, everything else you spend money on is spent on pages nobody can see.

The short answer

What is technical SEO?

Technical SEO is the work that lets a search engine crawl, render, understand and index a site.

It covers crawl paths, index coverage, redirects, canonical signals, site architecture, structured data, mobile rendering and speed. Every one of those is a yes or no question with a checkable answer, which is what separates this from most of search.

What it is not: content, links, or a fix for a site nobody wants to link to. Technical work removes the ceiling. It does not raise the floor. Anyone selling it as a growth strategy on its own is describing the wider SEO program and charging for one part of it.

Crawl and index health crawl paths · rendering · coverage Crawlability Can a crawler reach the page through clean paths, no dead ends Renderability Does the critical content appear before JavaScript has to run Indexability Is the page in the index for the query it should rank for
Binary answers

A page is indexed or it is not. Little else in search is this checkable.

Fast when it works

Unblocking pages that already exist can move rankings in weeks.

Compounds

Every future page inherits a clean architecture or an unclean one.

Cheap to keep

Most debt is created once, in a build, and never again after it is fixed.

The numbers that matter

Core Web Vitals, and what fails each one

Google publishes three thresholds. A page passes only if it clears all three at the seventy-fifth percentile of real visits, which is why a perfect lab score and a failing report can appear together.

Metric What it measures Good Needs work Poor Commonest cause of failure
LCP How long until the largest visible element loads 2.5s or less 2.5s to 4.0s Over 4.0s An unoptimized hero image, a slow server response, or render-blocking CSS in the head
CLS How much the layout shifts while loading 0.1 or less 0.1 to 0.25 Over 0.25 Images and ads without reserved dimensions, and web fonts swapping in late
INP How quickly the page responds to a tap or click 200ms or less 200ms to 500ms Over 500ms Heavy JavaScript on the main thread, usually third-party tags nobody audits

Field data is what Google ranks on. Lab tools simulate one load on one device and are useful for diagnosis, not for judging whether you pass.

The diagnostic

What a technical SEO audit service actually delivers

A crawl of your site, checked by hand, returned as a fix list with an owner and an effort estimate against each item. Findings are ordered by what will change rankings, not by how many red flags a tool raised.

That ordering is most of the value. A crawler will report two hundred issues on a typical site. Perhaps twelve of them affect anything. Handing a developer all two hundred is how audits end up unread.

For B2B sites the pattern is usually the same: a marketing site bolted onto a product site, two content management systems, and nobody sure which one owns the blog. That is an architecture problem before it is a speed one.

The free 20-point review covers the whole picture across technical, content, local and AI readiness. See what the full audit covers. This page is the deeper technical version of the same discipline, scoped to a site rather than to a summary. Larger estates need auditing at enterprise scale, where the constraint is approval and release cycles rather than the crawl itself.

After the audit

The part most agencies leave out

A fix list is not a fix. Findings arrive as specified tickets with acceptance criteria, sized for a sprint, in whatever tracker your team already uses. Your developer implements, or ours does if you do not have one.

Who implements

Your developer, ours, or a split where we handle the SEO layer and yours handles the platform. Agreed before work starts, not after.

What we need from you

Staging access, analytics and Search Console access, and one person who can approve a deploy. Without the third, everything queues.

What cannot be fixed without access

Server response times, some platform-level canonicalization and anything requiring template changes. If your platform blocks it, we say so rather than billing around it.

When a rebuild is cheaper

Some sites cost more to fix than to replace. Theme and plugin debt on WordPress often falls here, and so does any build where the template fights every change. When a rebuild beats a repair is a real answer and we give it.

What changes after the fix list

Read the full case studies →

Case studies with before and after figures publish as each client approves them. The work behind them looks like this.

Index recovery
Technical SEO · Content site

A third of the site was excluded by a canonical tag applied site-wide in a theme update. Nobody had looked at coverage in a year.

Redirect chains
Technical SEO · Post-migration

Four hops between an old URL and its destination, left over from two migrations. Collapsed to one, which is a morning of work.

Render blocking
Technical SEO · Speed

Six third-party tags loading in the head, two of them for tools the client had stopped using. Removing them beat every image optimization available.

Named case studies with verified metrics publish as each client approves them.

Why trust our technical SEO

Built on real E-E-A-T, not promises

Technical SEO is the one part of search where the claims are checkable. Check ours against this page.

Experience

Fix lists that shipped

Work as a technical SEO services company across WordPress, Shopify and custom builds, including the migrations that went wrong and what they taught.

Expertise

Specialists

The person reading your crawl does technical work full time. Technical SEO rewards depth and punishes generalists faster than any other part of search.

Authoritativeness

Named and accountable

Every fix list carries a name. If a recommendation is wrong, you know whose it was.

Trust

This page passes its own thresholds

A technical SEO page failing Core Web Vitals is the most quotable failure available. Test this one.

"A crawler will hand you two hundred issues. Maybe twelve matter. Working out which twelve is the job, and it is the part software cannot do for you."

One connected system

Part of one connected growth system

When the fix list is longer than the build was, the answer is rebuilding on a faster foundation rather than patching around a template.

Landing page speed feeds quality score directly, so page speed and ad costs are the same problem seen from two budgets.

Review markup is one of the easiest schema types to get wrong, and review markup done correctly is worth more than shipping it fast.

Open Graph and card markup decide how shared pages render, which is technical work nobody assigns to anyone.

Chat widgets and booking tools are usually the heaviest scripts on a site, so chat and booking without the speed cost is worth specifying up front.

What a technical engagement costs

Scoped to the site rather than fixed, and driven by three things: how many URLs there are, how many platforms are involved, and whether we are auditing only or implementing as well. The audit prices your version before you commit.

Answers

Questions people ask us most

What does a technical SEO audit check?
It checks whether search engines can reach, render, understand and index your pages: crawl paths, redirect chains, canonical signals, structured data, mobile rendering and the three Core Web Vitals. The output is a fix list ranked by ranking impact, not by severity label.
Will fixing technical SEO improve my rankings on its own?
Sometimes, and it is worth knowing when. If crawl or index problems are blocking pages, fixing them can produce fast gains because the content already exists. If the site is clean but lacks authority or content, technical work alone will not move much.
How do you measure site speed correctly?
Field data first, lab data second. Lab tools simulate one load on one device; field data records what real visitors experienced, and that is what Google ranks on. It is why a perfect lab score and a failing Core Web Vitals report can appear together.
Do you implement the fixes or just report them?
Either, agreed before work starts. Most clients use their own developer with our tickets and acceptance criteria, which is cheaper than either party doing it alone. Where there is no developer, we implement.
Should we hire a technical SEO services agency or use our in-house developer?
A capable developer can ship most technical fixes. What they usually lack is the diagnostic layer: knowing which of two hundred findings actually affects rankings. The common arrangement is an outside audit and prioritization with in-house implementation.
