Web Design & Development · Landing Pages

Landing page design services built for one goal.

A landing page is defined by what is not on it. No navigation, no related links, no second offer competing for the click you already paid for. Everything on the screen either moves someone toward one action or it comes off. That constraint is the whole discipline.

A better landing page raises conversion on the traffic you send it. It cannot fix a campaign aimed at the wrong audience, and we will say so before quoting.

The short answer

What is a landing page?

A landing page is a page with one goal and nothing on it that competes with that goal.

That is the whole definition and it is why a homepage makes a poor landing page. A homepage serves everyone who arrives. A landing page serves one audience arriving from one campaign with one thing in mind, and the difference shows in the conversion rate immediately.

A landing page design service is therefore mostly editing. Deciding what to remove, what objection to answer first, and where the single call to action sits. It works alongside the campaigns pointing at it, because message match between ad and page is half the result.

1
One actionEverything on the page points at it. Two calls to action means neither gets clicked.
Single focus
2
No navigationEvery menu item is a way out of a page you paid to bring someone to.
No exits
3
Message matchThe headline answers the ad. A mismatch is where most campaign budget leaks.

The anatomy

Nine elements, in order, and the job each one has

Landing page web design services vary enormously in what they deliver. This is the list we build to, top to bottom, and each element has to earn its place or it comes off.

# Element Its one job Commonest mistake
1 Headline Repeat the promise the ad made, in the visitor's words Writing a brand statement instead of answering the ad
2 Sub-headline Add the detail that makes the promise credible Repeating the headline in different words
3 Hero visual Show the thing, or the outcome of the thing A stock photograph of people who do not work there
4 Primary call to action Make the single next step obvious above the fold Two buttons, or a button competing with a phone number
5 Proof Answer "why should I believe you" immediately after the ask Logos with no context, or reviews from a different service
6 The offer detail Explain what they get, in specifics rather than adjectives Feature lists that never say what happens after they click
7 Objection handling Answer the one thing stopping this audience Answering objections the audience does not have
8 Form or contact Ask for the minimum that still qualifies the lead Fields added because a sales team might want them one day
9 Closing call to action Repeat the same action, in the same words, at the end A different offer at the bottom, which resets the decision

Nine elements is the ceiling, not the target. Plenty of pages convert better with six of them.

Who this suits

Three situations

Not for content that should be findable in search. A landing page is built for paid traffic. If you want it to rank, that is a different page with different rules, covered in on-page optimization.

Running ads to a homepage

The most common and most expensive mistake in paid media. A homepage is built for everyone and converts campaign traffic accordingly.

One offer, one audience

A promotion, a lead magnet, a single service. Anything with a defined audience deserves its own page rather than a section on an existing one.

Testing a new market

A landing page creation service is the cheapest way to find out whether an audience responds before building anything larger.

Pages and campaigns get planned together. See Google Ads management, since the ad and the page share one message or they share nothing.

How we work

Four steps, starting with the ad

01

Read the campaign

We look at the ads before the page. Message match is decided here and it is the largest single lever on the result.

02

Write, then cut

Drafted against the nine elements, then reduced. The second pass removes more than the first pass added, which is the point.

03

Build light

Developed to load fast on a phone on a poor connection, because that is the condition most ad clicks arrive in.

04

Wire and test

Conversion tracking checked with a real submission, then a written test plan for version two.

What changes on a dedicated page

Named campaign results publish as clients approve them. The patterns look like this.

Navigation removed
Landing page · Focus

A page with a full site menu replaced with one that had no way out except the form. Nothing else changed.

Message matched
Landing page · Headline

The ad promised a specific price and the page opened with a brand statement. Rewriting the headline to repeat the ad took an afternoon.

Form shortened
Landing page · Form

Eleven fields cut to four, with the rest asked on the follow-up call instead of before it.

Named case studies with verified metrics publish as each client approves them.

Why trust us with it

Pages built to convert, not to impress

Experience

Pages that ran

Landing pages built for live campaigns and measured against real spend, which is a different discipline from designing a page that looks finished.

Expertise

We read the ads first

Most landing page work fails on message match rather than design, and message match is decided before anything is drawn.

Authoritativeness

Named and accountable

One named lead signs the page off against its single goal, and removes anything that competes with it.

Trust

You keep the page

Built on your platform, in your account. No proprietary builder you have to keep renting to keep the page alive.

"If you cannot say the one thing the page is for in a sentence, the page is not finished. It is usually two pages."

One connected system

Part of one connected growth system

The ad and the page share one message or they share nothing, which is why the campaigns pointing at it get read before the page is written.

A landing page is for paid traffic. When a page needs to be found as well as clicked, that is on-page work and it follows different rules.

Proof is element five, and reviews shown where they convert is usually the strongest version of it available.

Paid social needs its own pages, and organic content that tells you what to test is where the angles come from.

A form is not the only conversion path, and chat and instant booking converts visitors who would never fill one in.

What a landing page costs

Priced per page, and the number depends on whether the copy exists, whether the offer is already proven, and how much objection handling the audience needs. A page for a familiar offer is a fraction of a page introducing something new.

Answers

Questions people ask us most

Can I just send ads to my homepage?
You can, and it is usually the most expensive habit in a paid account. A homepage serves everyone, so it commits to nothing. A dedicated page answers the specific promise the ad made, which is why the same traffic converts differently.
How many landing pages do I need?
One per offer and audience combination, not one per campaign. Two ad groups selling the same thing to the same people can share a page. Two audiences with different objections cannot, however similar the offer looks.
Should the page have navigation?
No. Every menu item is an exit from a page you paid to bring someone to. The only links on a landing page should be the conversion action and whatever the law requires.
How long should a landing page be?
As long as it takes to answer the objection, which varies enormously. A cheap, familiar offer needs very little. An expensive or unfamiliar one needs proof, detail and objection handling, and cutting those to look tidy costs conversions.
How do I know if it worked?
Conversion rate against the same campaign before the change, with tracking verified by a real submission rather than assumed. Anything measured on page views instead of conversions is not measuring the page.
Can you optimise a page I already have?
Yes, and it is often the better first step. Landing page optimization services on an existing page with live data beat building a new one blind, because you already know where people leave.
